Johnson University & Pioneer Bible Translators

Partners in World Evangelism

We have asked the Lord of the Harvest to send more workers to reach the remaining Bibleless, churchless people groups. He is answering by sending Pioneer Bible Translators an unprecedented wave of new recruits. In fact, right now we have more missionary recruits in training than we have missionaries on the field.

Our faithful God Who answered those prayers is also providing a way to effectively train these future missionaries for the challenging work that lies ahead.

We are pleased to announce an educational partnership with Johnson University in Knoxville, Tennessee. Two academic programs are available, both entirely online:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science in Intercultural Studies, tailored to the needs of future field workers
  • Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies, with one of five concentrations: Translation, Scripture Impact, Literacy, Community Development, or an area-specific customization

Johnson University’s partnership will provide training for workers who can help complete the task of Bible translation by 2050 for the world’s remaining 2,252 language groups without Scripture
