God, we pray that Christ’s followers all around the globe will shine the light of His presence despite difficult circumstances.

God, we pray for every manifestation of darkness to be dispelled by the light of Christ in fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy that “the people walking in darkness have seen a great light.”

God, please enable our personnel and local believers to boldly reflect the light of Christ in their lives and work. Please empower them to do this without being seen as troublemakers by those who resist their message.

God, we pray that the environment of fear and anxiety in our world today will be transformed into peace and joy. We pray that people who are hearing the Christmas story this season will embrace its message of hope that only Jesus can give.

We praise you, God, for the reality of “Emmanuel, God with us.” We pray that your people all over the world will live in this truth every day in every attitude, action, and conversation.
