This goes beyond the Bible translation in the language of wider communication (LWC). We have seen numerous times where someone reads one of our mother tongue translations and says something like, \u201cI never understood that verse until now.\u201d We also see that our translations are a cultural bridge to peoples of a neighboring faith. Many of those of the neighboring faith wouldn\u2019t be compelled to read the Bible available to them in the LWC, but when they see their mother tongue written they want to interact with it.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scripture Impact is all about discipleship \u2013 coming alongside others to help them engage with Scripture and impact lives. A Scripture Impact intern will have the opportunity to come alongside our missionaries and learn from them first-hand about this discipleship. This involves work in Discipleship Making Movements on the field.<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Focus<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scripture Impact, language and culture learning, discipleship<\/p>\n<h5 style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>What kind of students\u00a0are we looking for?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Humble, teachable, servant leaders<\/li>\n<li>Interest in Scripture Impact<\/li>\n<li>Individual who loves people and wants to make disciples<\/li>\n<li>Flexible<\/li>\n<li>Willing to do whatever is needed<\/li>\n<li>Self-sufficient<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>People in this area of the world want a deeper understanding of the Bible in the language they know best.
