In addition to translating God’s word into the Sonomo language, the team is seeking ways to engage seekers and new believers with the Word of God. Given the high security nature of this language group, we are pursuing creative strategies such as online engagement, followed by filtering, follow up, and eventual connection for face-to-face discipleship. The team is also developing Scripture resources and discipleship tools that can be used easily and reproducibly. The goal is for the Bible to not just be a book on a shelf, but a book impacting and transforming lives of the Sonomo speakers who read and listen to it!
