Scott Graves serves as Chief Personnel Officer, overseeing the teams responsible for recruitment, training, onboarding/coaching, missionary care, HR, and personnel development. Pioneer Bible Translators’ missionaries live and serve in difficult environments, risky political climates, and spiritually resistant regions of the world. Scott’s passion is helping those missionaries thrive in spite of the hardships they face. Prior to joining Pioneer Bible 20+ years ago, Scott directed the Analytical Chemistry Lab for Covance US (now LabCorp), where he won the Covance Way Award for innovation. Concurrent to his Pioneer Bible work, Scott has served on the Board of Directors for the Child Safety and Protection Network, a collaborative network of mission agencies, faith-based NGOs, and international Christian schools. He is also the Board President for the UME Preparatory Academy school district. He holds degrees in Spanish and Biology from Wabash College and in Clinical Laboratory Science from Indiana University School of Medicine. He and his wife Kathy have three adult children and one teenager.
