Natalia is a Deaf woman who lives in Moldova. She uses sign language to communicate but studied hard to learn two written languages.
When Natalia was a child, she knew about Jesus. “But,” she said, “I didn’t really know who He is.” As an adult, Natalia knew the Bible existed in American Sign Language. She wanted it in her language — Moldovan Sign Language — not only for herself but for others, too.
Natalia and her husband began trying to translate God’s Word into Moldovan Sign Language. But they knew they needed training and other resources. The COVID pandemic and then living near a war zone intensified Deaf Moldovans’ need and desire for Scripture in their own language.
With resources YOU helped provide, Natalia and her husband are now translating the Action Bible Sign Language for their people.
Now Deaf Moldovans who have been going to church and struggling to understand the Gospel message are finally seeing the first Action Bible stories in Moldovan Sign Language. And they are able to understand them.
“God’s Word is bearing fruit already,” Natalia shares.
Thank you for helping Deaf Moldovan people have God’s Word in a language they can see and understand. Sign language Scripture is making all the difference for them!
