Maclain and Kaitlin Silvey

Serving the Bibleless peoples of Papua New Guinea

Maclain and Kaitlin are passionate about using their skills and talents to further Bible translation, technology development and literacy in Papua New Guinea.

Trained in the Information Technology field, Maclain provides the infrastructure, technology, and training needed to complete translation, Scripture impact, and literacy projects in Papua New Guinea. He also works with off-grid power systems to advise and assist the teams living in remote locations.

Kaitlin focuses on Literacy Development, teaching mother tongue speakers to read, write, and comprehend Scripture in their own language. She also helps them write about what they have learned and experienced in their cultures. Kaitlin plans literacy programs and develops new materials for multiple language projects in PNG.

The Silveys have been part of Pioneer Bible Translators since 2015.
