Bible Translation Day 2025: Celebrate and Pray!

Today — September 30 — is Bible Translation Day. We and our partners in the Bible translation movement have much to celebrate today. Worldwide, 779 languages have a full Bible and another 1,802 have New Testaments. Pioneer Bible has published five of these Bibles and 25 New Testaments, and several more projects are nearing the finish line.

Yet a significant number of people still live without access to Scripture in a language that speaks clearly to their hearts and minds. We are committed to doing our part to change that. Our vision is to see churches using Scripture to grow, mature, and multiply in every language on Earth — both spoken and signed — by 2050.

Many of the world’s Bibleless, unchurched people live in places that are difficult to access due to barriers such as government prohibitions, wars, or opposition by a dominant religion. Reaching our goal of completing 300 projects will happen only as God moves, and we know that He does move in answer to the faith-filled prayers of His people.

Please pray with us:

  • That God will raise up the people and other resources to translate His Word into languages that do not yet have it.
  • That God will move in powerful ways to overcome every barrier that is keeping Bibleless people from having access to His Word.
  • That the Bible translation needs of every language community on Earth will be met.
  • That by 2050 — just 25 years from now — there will be churches using Scripture to grow, mature, and multiply in every spoken and signed language on Earth.
