Kumin is a Christian Tay woman living in a remote mountain village in Papua New Guinea. When she was still a young woman, her husband died, leaving her to raise their three young children.
Kumin was deeply concerned about what she was seeing in the lives of some of the Tay believers, including her own children. Even though they have God’s Word in their own language, many Tay believers still follow fear-based practices passed down from their ancestors.
Kumin repeatedly cried out to the Lord, asking Him to do something to bring change and transformation among her people.
You helped provide a life-changing discipleship course that changed everything!
Kumin was invited to participate in a course that equips believers to view their cultural beliefs and practices through the lens of God’s Word and to lead others to do the same.
Now Kumin has the tools she needs to help her church and others in her community step away from fear and into the freedom of trusting Christ in every aspect of their lives. Kumin shares, “Fear is like a blanket covering the Tay people. We don’t HAVE to be afraid of sorcery and the spirits.”
Thank you for equipping Kumin and her community to leave fear behind and have a vibrant life of faith in Jesus!
