The Word of God brings transformation to individuals, families, churches, and communities. One facet of transformative impact occurs when Scripture shines the light of truth on the underpinnings of our daily lives. 

This month, teammates in Papua New Guinea are facilitating Culture Meets Scripture for church leaders from the Tay language group. This training course equips people to examine their values, beliefs, and practices through the lens of Scripture and to lead others in doing the same. 

Please pray for this course and its long-term impact among the Tay people.

• Thank God that the Tay people have the New Testament in their own language. Praise Him for Tay believers who are earnestly seeking to follow Jesus.
• Thank God for answering our teammates’ prayers by opening doors to conduct this course.
• Thank God for the Tay church leaders who will attend the course. Pray that word-of-mouth invitations will reach them and that God will remove barriers to making the arduous trip into the town where the course will be held.
• Pray that the teammates who are facilitating the course will be humble and sensitive to what God has laid out for the week. Ask God to give them wisdom and discernment as they guide the presentations of each topic. 
• Pray that attendees will arrive with minds and hearts ready to accept the Scripture-based teachings that will be presented. Pray that their ears will be closed to Satan’s attempts to counter the truths they are hearing from God’s Word.
• Pray that they will feel confident in what they learn and motivated to share it in their churches. Ask God to give them courage and humility as they teach their people. 
• Pray that God will open people’s hearts to embrace His truth and live in greater freedom in Christ.
