Damitri is a Christian man originally from Russia. He’s a video editor who is also Deaf.
Damitri knows that God’s Word is important. He knows that the Bible can help him understand how to live and what God wants him to do.
But there’s a problem.
Damitri struggles to read the pages of a printed Bible. He encounters words, concepts, and phrases that are very different from his sign language. This makes it difficult for him to understand what God wants.
You helped Damitri understand God’s Word through Bible stories in Moldovan Sign Language!
Things started to change when Damitri joined the team translating the first five Moldovan Action Bible Sign Language stories.
Damitri could understand these stories because they were in his sign language, which is different from spoken language. And because he understands the stories now, he feels confident explaining God’s Word to other people.
“It is so important for people to understand the Gospel,” Damitri shares. “If they can’t, then they can’t know Jesus. And we want them to know Him. We want them to know that they have a Savior and that He died for them. And we need it in their language.”
