Thursday Prayer Focus: Day of Fasting and Prayer

praying hands with Bible

Because prayer is the strategy of Pioneer Bible Translators, our worldwide team intentionally sets aside a day of fasting and prayer every month. On this day, we join in unified prayer, offering up to our Father praises and requests collected especially for this day. Please join this concert of prayer today by praying with us for our teammates and the people among whom they serve.

  • We praise you, God, for each of the 154 international and local teammates serving in nine countries across Africa. Please continue to lead, grow, equip, guide, empower, and bless each of them. Please produce the fruit you want to bear through each one for your holy purposes.
  • Lord, thank you for the three language groups you have placed on the hearts of Nile Africa teammates to begin serving. Please give them wisdom and clarity in the many decisions they face, and please bring together the people you are preparing for them to work with.
  • Thank you, God, for orchestrating the audio recording of a recently completed New Testament in West Africa. Please bring a rich harvest among this people group as they hear your Word in their own language.
  • Thank you, God, for providing a team of local translators for a language in West Africa’s Gulf Coast. Please grant this team wisdom as they begin drafting their first book, the Gospel of Luke, this month.
  • God, please lead four people to clothe themselves with you in faith through our ministries in refugee communities this year.
  • Thank you, God, for beginning to create connections with individuals and ministries for our teammate serving refugees in the Atlanta area. Please continue growing these connections.
  • God, please kindle a fire for cross-cultural missions within your church in western Europe. Please raise up a leader for mobilizing European believers to join you in serving unreached language groups.
  • Thank you, God, for the ways you have met the financial needs of many teammates who are preparing for cross-cultural ministry.
