Thursday Prayer Focus:Day of Fasting and Prayer

praying hands with Bible

Because prayer is the strategy of Pioneer Bible Translators, our worldwide team intentionally sets aside a day of fasting and prayer every month. On this day, we join in unified prayer, offering up to our Father praises and requests collected especially for this day. Please join this concert of prayer today by praying with us for our teammates and the people among whom they serve.

  • Thank you, God, for the men and women in the Middle East who are seriously exploring who Jesus is. Please guide their Bible studies and discussions with our teammates so that these earnest seekers will begin to follow Him.
  • Thank you, God, that animated videos of the book of Ruth in a Middle Eastern language are being widely viewed. Please continue using the work of this animation team to effectively communicate your Word.
  • Thank you, God, for a father and son in the Middle East who have opened their home for our teammates to lead their family in a Discovery Bible Study. Please bring this entire family to faith in Jesus.
  • God, please grant rest and healing to people facing hard circumstances in a place where we serve. Please reveal yourself and your nature to everyone who truly turns to you to lament their situations and to ask for your answers.
  • Thank you, God, for guiding our Deaf Ministries leadership in the decisions they have made for completing the video editing of the Action Bible Sign Language New Testament. Please lead our Deaf Ministries teammates to viable and sustainable options for building apps for the distribution of this New Testament.
  • God, please break the bonds of trauma and reveal yourself in power as the Great Healer to the refugees and immigrants we serve. Please help them find Scripture resources that have been developed for their language communities.
  • Thank you, God, for the ways our personnel around the world are embracing the blessing and challenge of being multicultural teams.
  • God, please help us discover or develop excellent, accessible training options for our teammates from various cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Thank you, God, for the translation work our teammates in Bible Translators of Ukraine are doing in several Roma languages. Please protect them, and please give wisdom to those who are translating 35 psalms into six Roma languages.
  • Thank you, God, for giving the ministries of prayer, counseling, healing prayer, trauma care, debriefing, and many others to our Care Team. Please use these teammates as tools in your hands to accomplish your purposes in the lives and ministries of everyone on our worldwide team.
