The Vickery Meadow program, implemented by our partner organization, works to equip refugees for their new lives in America with English as a Second Language (ESL), interpretation services, literacy, and Human Language Technology (HLT) development. An intern with this department would come alongside the team in Dallas to assist with current projects in which they are involved in partnership with the refugee community.
This is not an evangelistic program; however, this internship is an opportunity to acquire fundamental skills for learning how to communicate valuable information to others in another cultural context. It is also an opportunity to build relationships and support people with tangible needs through furthering the work of our partner organization toward goals of enduring, holistic transformation.
Join our internship and step into a unique opportunity to develop invaluable skills in team collaboration, cross-cultural engagement, and relationship-building. As an intern, you’ll make a tangible impact by teaching in-home ESL, literacy, and citizenship classes—empowering individuals right in their communities. Don’t worry if you’ve never taught before—our curriculum is designed to be simple and accessible, so no prior experience is needed. All you need is a heart for service and a willingness to learn.
