The Reality
Global ministry requires strong operational backbones. Without clear systems, budgets, and contingency planning, frontline field work grinds to a halt. Based in Australia with strategic travel into Southeast Asia and Papua New Guinea, this internship moves you past surface-level ministry into the engine room of international operations. You will tackle real-world administrative projects that directly impact field safety, reporting, and program sustainability across the region.
What You Might Actually Do
Operations work is inherently fluid, dependent on regional logistics, security conditions, and leadership availability. Your itinerary and projects will adapt to active field needs rather than a fixed summer syllabus.
- Core Operational Projects: Tackle 1–2 high-priority administrative initiatives, such as building Fibery database workflows, regional budgeting, program planning, or drafting field security and contingency policies.
- Field Visits: Travel alongside leadership to Southeast Asia and Papua New Guinea to experience firsthand how administrative decisions directly affect on-the-ground teams in remote and restricted settings.
- Operational Support: Gain insight into how international branches coordinate logistics, travel, and resources across diverse cultural and regulatory environments.
- Leadership Development: Join regional leadership in strategy sessions, project reviews, and field support calls to learn high-level organizational leadership.
Who This Is For
- Required Mindset: Systems-oriented, comfortable with changing travel logistics, detail-driven, and excited about solving complex operational puzzles.
- Target Majors: Business Administration, Global Business, International Studies, Operations Management, Computer Science, Project Management, or Public Administration (Minimum 2 years completed).
- Non-Negotiables: Strong technical aptitude (ability to learn database systems like Fibery quickly), clear written communication, and high organizational skills. A desire to explore how operations and administration can support global missions.
